Team Work makes Dreams Work

As we say goodbye to the only life we've known for the past three weeks... It's hard to believe it is finally all over! But the memories and these people will be forever in our hearts!
We've all grown to love this land "the land of the free" and this is not goodbye it is see you later! We will definitely be back.

The house and just loving on the beautiful children were our 2 main jobs...
The outside of the house got an undercoat, two top coats, the ceiling was painted, the poles were painted, the gables were painted all on the outside. On the inside the undercoat on all the wall were painted, the door frames were painted, the doors were painted, doors were fixed, doors were built and the floor was prepared for the tilers as well as lots if bits and bobs that were done in between (e.g. duck plucking)

We drove away from the farm with an accomplishment in our hearts. The team and everyone back home has blessed this ministry in so many ways. We raised money, we worked our butts off for weeks in 34 degree heat and most of the time 70% (give or take) humidity. It was exhausting, it was draining, it stretched us, and it bonded us as a team!

We say goodbye to the farm...
The road we travelled on everyday...
One of the kingdom kids carers homes
The shop we are so many magnums at ;)
Another of the Carers homes
The nearly all gone rice husk pile YAY
And Our Transportation for the past 3 weeks, no seatbelts, the wind in your hair lol I will definitely miss that truck!

We met some pretty cool people along the way and made some even better friends :)

Painting by Pamela Taylor ...

The sun... Pat and Frank
Lisa, Pamela, George and Ray
Chloe, Jack, Dan, Karmyn, Gavin, Kiara and Christine

After leaving Ray and Lisa ...
Dan with tears starting to well, "do you think Pamela will remember me?" Thailand you've done wonders on Dan ... Well played Thailand, well played! Or was it Pamela? Thank you Pamela, we love it!
Ps. Dan did actually say that, but maybe with no tears lol

We saw Ray, Lisa, Pamela, George and Nikki for the last time today with tears streaming down their face, as we drove away they yelled, "will we ever see your faces again?" Only if you're lucky guys, only if you're lucky! :)
Thank you for looking sad Lisa even though I may have told you to look like that ;) we will truly miss you guys! You have all been so great and so welcoming! Xo

Bui and Lachie ... We will miss you guys so much! Thank you for helping us on the farm Lachie, for your never ending enthusiasm and your contagious laugh and smile :) and Bui you have a heart of Gold, the amazing work you do with these kids are great, they love you so much and thank you for letting us disrupt your class, I hope we helped and impacted in some way!

Terry and Robyn, thank you thank you thank you for giving us the opportunity to come and serve. We are here to be a blessing and serve others as we would serve God, the opportunity to do that in a totally different country is empowering! God worked in all of us in some way and we will be forever grateful :)

Yes I got a bit teary as I said my final goodbyes to the children... They are so beautiful, God has a master plan for all the little ones. No matter what there circumstance, no matter where they have come from. God knit these children together stitch by stitch he hand crafted them, he breathed his spirit into them so they may live and my prayer is that they will fulfill the purpose that God has put them on this earth for. He has all of them etched on the palm of His hand and even when we can't be with them, He can and they can rest in His awesome embrace.

Goodbye Bam Bam
Goodbye Wat and Nina
Goodbye Tine
Please continue to pray for all the little ones, for; Bam, Nina, Tom, Tim, Gunter, Meka, Nikki, Tine, Wat, Cow Glong, Faa, Four, Inn, Bobbie, Sen, Sung, Fen, Don, EQ (fingers crossed I haven't missed any)

On the way to the airport ... We are coming home Australia, never to be the same again!

I hope you enjoyed my very last blog for the REACH Thailand Mission Trip 2014. I pray you were blessed and inspired to live for something greater than yourself. We are on this earth for a short time, so don't let it slip through your fingers.
My prayer for all of you will be when you stand before the throne room of God you will be able to look back on your life and think I didn't live for possessions or money or myself but I lived a life sold out for God, to helping others, to feeding the poor and hungry and all for the extension of His Kingdom.

Mission work will be the best thing you could ever do, Christian or non Christian. We are blessed so much in Australia :) why not bless others!

Blessed to be a blessing!

Thank you for taking the time to read these blogs ...

Lots of love

K xx

PS

Miss all of you already!!! I can't  believe I'm not waking up with you guys every morning anymore...

I had to put this one in HAHA Christine ;)

Everything is AWESOME!!!!

Our last week on mission... And oh what a week it has been (well half a week!)

3 days to get everything finished, we had door doors and more doors to paint, to hang and to fix up!

The kids furniture got delivered on Monday... Mattresses, bed frames and cupboards! How amazing it was when all the furniture got delivered... This house is definitely starting to look like a home :)

As everyone worked hard to unpack all the furniture... Dan and his two favourites played!!!

Yes... Dan has made best friends with Bam and Pamela... They call them "His Girls"

Salung Nork ... Our home for the past 3 weeks!!! Lachie loves the spotlight :) we will miss you Lachie, we know you will miss us too (especially me because I'm awesome!!!)

So behind Georde and I (and Dan and I) is the nursery for rice fields. The Nursery is where all the little baby rice are cared for and loved and nutured until they are all big and strong enough to be planted into there very own field. They will then produce billions of rice husks and feed gazillions of hungry little mouths!!! How cute :)

Tuesday morning I spent with the kids :)
We sang "I got the joy joy joy joy down in my heart, WHERE? Down in my heart..." You get the gist
Nena loved it ... The cheeky monkey!!!
Spending time with Four for the very last time ... I'll miss this little cutie! Such a good baby

Meet Don ... He has Cerebal Palsy! He is so precious! His spirit is gentle and his heart is kind... Vicki bent down to say goodbye and he began to cry (pretty sure because he was sad to see her go) we prayed for this little guy, we swung him on the swing and the other children bought him ice cream (fake ice cream, reall stuff is too messy) We asked him if he loved Jesus and nodded his head!
And as we prayed his eyes lit up with the love of Jesus and he nodded all the way through in agreeance

There was three in the bed and the little one said roll over roll over ...

Mum had the time of her life playing ball with the kids haha

And it was so precious to see all the kids want to comfort four as he lay on the ground crying ... Gunter holding his hand and Bam repeating "baby, baby!" Don't worry Vicki was about to pick him up as I took the photo!
And then Bam and I fed Four and Four was so happy ... He burped twice and was the happiest little boy after :)

Up to the Mountain in a Song Tow (this is not the spelling or maybe not even the word!)
We went to the temple, i didn't go in, you've seen one temple you've seen them all ;)
Beautiful view of Chang Mai from the top though!!!

Dinner at Dukes for the last time ... This time we took most of the team members and it was delicious only spend $5,000 between the two tables ... Whoops I mean 5,000 Baht

Awesome couple days and it's nearly all over ...

Until tomorrow... Always remember

EVERYTHING IS AWESOME

GOODNIGHT
